A serval cat (Leptailurus serval) trips a remote camera in Zakouma National Park, Chad, in 2006.

Found in Africa—mostly south of the Sahara—serval cats are considered a species of least concern, according to the IUCN’s Red List. They weigh between 15 and 40 pounds (7 and 18 kilograms).
