Last Chance for CIRCUS and the Impossible Science Experience
3dbc7c72-57f2-4a9d-9700-a1a15f363e92.jpg The end of summer is upon us and that means the end of two of our favorite summer attractions! The last day for CIRCUS: Science Under the Big Top is September 7. This is your final chance to fly through the air on the Elastic Acrobat or test your balance by walking the High Wire.

Also ending on September 7 is the Impossible Science Experience, featuring our Curator of Impossible Science, Jason Latimer. See him use applied science to bend light or walk through a solid object before he disappears!

CIRCUS: Science Under the Big Top is open daily in the main exhibit gallery until Monday, September 7.

The Impossible Science Experience is Saturday through Monday, September 5-7, at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater.

On Tuesday, September 8, at “Spotlight on San Diego Science” local scientist Dr. Meriah Arias-Thode demonstrates how to access free power from mud using microbial fuel cells. On Saturday, September 26, Storybook Science explores the world of children’s scientific literature and meaningful ways to connect literacy and science into multidisciplinary lessons.

Both workshops are designed to give teachers ready-to-use ideas and lesson plans they can take directly to the classroom. More>>
